ClickToFlash

Flashファイルの読み込みを制御するプラグイン"ClickToFlash"の1.5f(正式版)がリリースされています。最新バージョンは1.5.2です。対応OSは MacOS X 10.5(Leoprad) 以降となっています。

またホスト先をAmazon S3からgithubに変更したため、1.5もしくは1.5.1に自動アップデートしていた場合、1.5.2以降を手動でダウンロードして欲しいという注意がなされています。

If you were automatically updated to ClickToFlash 1.5 or 1.5.1, you'll need manually download and upgrade to 1.5.2 or later yourself. Sorry.

ClickToFlash

rentzsch's clicktoflash at master - GitHub

ClicktoFlashはrentzsch氏の手によるFlashファイルの自動読み込みを禁止するプラグインです。現行バージョンは1.4.2となっているほか、次期バージョンのβ版が1.5b4までリリースされています。動作環境はMacOS X 10.5(leopard)以降の対応となっています

インストールするとFlashファイルが表示される部分に次のような画像が表示されます。

クリックすることでFlashファイルが読み込まれる他、ギアアイコンをクリックして設定画面を開くので、そのページのFlashを全て読み込んだりWhitlistに追加する等が出来ます。

Flashはサイトに様々な効果を与えることが出来るため、広告などにも多用されているわけですが同時に負荷を増大させたりトラブルの原因になったりもします。同じ事はSafariStandでも可能ですが、氾濫するFlashに辟易しているならば試してみてはどうでしょうか。

なお、インストール先は
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ClickToFlash.webplugin
アンインストールする際は上記ファイルを削除するだけでOKです。
